I joined MUN two years ago in a spur of the moment decision. I never heard about it but I knew I was interested in debating and international decision-making. There is no organisation better to join than MUN! To this day I never regretted my impulsive decision, and I never will. KULBRUXMUN somehow opened up a new world of wonder. A world that I seemed to rediscover with every meeting. The possibilities to expand your knowledge and skills are endless and useful in this globalised world. Maybe even more important are the friendships that you form with people all across the globe by going to conferences or even in our team and exchanging cultures, ideas, and more. I’m excited to be president of KULBRUXMUN this year. I look forward to this academic year with our new board team! We will help others experience the wonders of MUN that we all could experience!

From the moment I joined KULBRUXMUN 3 years ago, it has opened up so many doors for me to explore and enrich my worldview. I have had the chance to travel- seeing many new places and meeting people that have the same interests as me. Even closer to home, KULBRUXMUN has helped me learn about current issues in our weekly meetings and continuously improve my public speaking as well as my confidence. Our team is a close knit group that fills the meetings with lots of laughs and pride as we get to grow together in a unit! From the topics we have planned for this year’s debates to the conferences that we hope to attend, there is something for everyone in KULBRUXMUN. As the Vice-President of KULBRUXMUN I can’t wait to continue to expand our group and work together with the amazing board to bring to all of our members an unforgettable year!

In just a year of being a member of KULBRUXMUN, I received not only the experience of conferences, but also huge support from the club members. I realized that I want to contribute to the development of the club while studying at KU Leuven. Working together with a new board, I am confident in a cohesive and organized club performance, as well as maximum commitment and cooperation.

A little about me, from my high school I have been attending MUN conferences as a delegate and as a chair. The reason for making MUN the part of my extra-curricular portfolio was not complicated or ambitious. It was simple, get to know some people, have some fun and of course speak your mind up because if you do not you will lose your relevance. Here at KULBRUXMUN, if you are a member, we would ensure to make you relevant and active at every point. In the world of disagreements, we would ensure that at the end of the day you will not only develop a perspective of a current problem area but portray it whenever it is necessary. As Napoleon Bonaparte stated, ‘Courage isn’t having the strength to go on – It is going on when you don’t have strength.
